shadcn/ui compatibility
Every SortUI component keeps the public API of its shadcn/ui counterpart: the same prop names, exports, file names and variants. Any code written against shadcn/ui works with SortUI without changes, and you can swap a component back to the original at any time.
The library is built on the current shadcn/ui lineage — Base UI primitives, Tailwind CSS v4 and the rhea style. What SortUI adds is its own design layer: tokens, styling, and new variants and sizes next to the original ones.
What is included
- Base components — 64 open-source components installable through the @sortui registry, each documented here with live examples.
- Blocks — UI compositions built from the base components: chat composers, threads, model pickers, sidebars, installable through the @sortui registry.
- Templates — complete multi-page apps built from the blocks, each a project of its own. Part of SortUI Pro.
- Sections — the parts landings and websites are built from. Part of SortUI Pro.
- Figma UI kit — the same design system in Figma: variables, component sets and variants mirroring the code. Part of SortUI Pro.
