Terms of Service

About these terms

SortUI is made by Shiryoku, LLC (“we”, “us”). These terms cover the website sortui.dev, the open-source library, the Figma UI Kit, the sections, the templates and any other product we sell under the SortUI name (together, the “Products”).

By using the website or buying a Product you agree to these terms, to the License, the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy. If you buy for a company, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf.

Free and paid products

The component library and the blocks are free and open source. They are published under the MIT License, and that license, not these terms, governs what you can do with them.

The Figma UI Kit, the code of the sections, the templates and the other paid Products are licensed, not sold. A purchase gives you the rights described in the License for the plan you bought. We keep all rights we do not expressly grant.

Accounts and license keys

  • You must be at least 16 years old to buy a Product or create an account.
  • Give us accurate details and keep your account and license keys secure. You are responsible for everything done with them.
  • A license key belongs to the people your plan covers. Do not publish it, share it beyond your seats or put it in a public repository.
  • Tell us at contact@sortui.dev if you think someone else is using your account or key.

Prices and payments

Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes your payment, charges and remits sales tax or VAT where it applies, and issues your receipt. Its own terms apply to the checkout.

  • Prices are in US dollars and may not include taxes, which are shown at checkout.
  • Every plan is a one-time payment. You are charged only when you buy a plan or upgrade it, never again on a schedule.
  • Updates are included. The new versions, sections and templates we release for your plan come at no extra cost for as long as we develop the Product.
  • You can upgrade at any time from your account, from the Figma UI Kit to Pro Access or from Personal to Team, and pay only the difference.
  • We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects a plan you have already bought.

Discounts

We offer discounts to students, educators, open-source maintainers, nonprofits and customers in countries where our prices are hard to reach. Write to discount@sortui.dev and tell us a little about yourself. Discount codes are personal and cannot be combined unless we say so.

Refunds

You can ask for a refund within 14 days of your purchase. The Refund Policy explains how.

Updates and availability

We update the Products regularly and may add, change or remove components, sections, templates and features. Updates are included in every plan. New versions of the Figma UI Kit appear in your account, and code updates reach you through the registry. We aim to keep the website and the registry available at all times but cannot promise that they will be free of interruptions or errors.

Intellectual property

The Products, the website, the SortUI name and logo and the design of the site belong to Shiryoku, LLC. Open-source code stays under its own license. Do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse your product without written permission.

What you build with the Products is yours. We claim no ownership of your designs, code or end products.

Acceptable use

When you use the website, the registry or our services, do not:

  • scrape or bulk-download paid Products, or get around license checks, rate limits or other technical limits;
  • interfere with the service, try to reach accounts or data that are not yours, or upload anything harmful;
  • use the Products for anything unlawful.

Suspension and termination

If you break these terms or the License, we may suspend or end your access and revoke your license key. We will tell you why unless the law or the safety of the service prevents it. You may stop using the Products and close your account at any time.

Disclaimer

The Products are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for testing what you build with them before you ship it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Shiryoku, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Product in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold Shiryoku, LLC harmless from claims that arise from your end products, your breach of these terms or the License, or your misuse of the Products.

Governing law

Shiryoku, LLC is a Delaware limited liability company. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and any dispute that cannot be settled between us goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware. Before going to court, please write to us. Most problems are solved by email. Nothing here limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We post the new version here with a new date and email you about material changes at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Products after that, the new terms apply.
